During the debate the candidates spoke about the economy
Mitt Romney's Plan: 1. Energy Independent 2. Trade with latin America and crack down on China 3.education workers having skills for success 4. Balanced Budget 5. Champion small business (lower taxes on them)
I believe having an American energy plan is a good idea because it requires more jobs from drilling and makes us independent from the Middle East meaning that gas prices go down because of supply and demand. When we trade with other countries maximize resources and it can help us compete more. To help create jobs and hire more people you need to encourage the job creators such as small businesses by lowering their taxes.
Barack Obama's Plan:
1. Improve education system-hiring more teachers and getting people trained more 2. capital gains lowered for manufacturing at 25 % 3. close loop holes for businesses that are shipping jobs overseas 4. boost american energy production. 5. Tax increases in people earning $250,000 or more.

ReplyDeleteTry to identify both the costs and the benefits to a given policy rather than just the benefits. There is more to understanding a candidate than just knowing what they stand for. Be critical of all policy.
